Let's make an illustrated video!

Somewhere in the rustle and tear of what’s going on in the world right now, the idea was born to use our song Only God Knows to make a little comment out there into the void. There's just something with images and music together, that gets my heart beating faster and I decided to create a little animated video for the song. Somehow I stumbled upon Spanish artist Raquel Aparicio, and just loved her hand-drawn illustrations. So, through the magical window of Skype we’ve managed to put together a storyboard with Raquel and animator Don Jorge Parras in Barcelona, and the video is coming to life! Working over country boarders with these talented people, manifests the fact that this is very much a global project for us, asking the big questions in the way we know best how to – with a song.

Finally in the same city - and continent for that matter – we’re celebrating by eating our way through Stockholm’s yummy organic cafés. Our favorites so far are VurmaUrban Coffee and Petite France (amazing raspberry meringue pastries with creamy "chocolat ganache"!), as we’re trying to work out the logistics for the radio release of the EP “In The Bleak Midwinter”. This is a favorite Christmas carol of our's together with Only God Knows and Just Surrender from the album. It’s our first big radio release, and will reach DJs across the US, UK, Ireland and some of the rest of Europe! It's a bit of a haze at the moment, but in a good way. In The Bleak Midwinter will be available as a single download online from December 1st on CD Baby, itunes etc.

Hard sometimes to get time to pick up the guitar when you’re playing record company, but we’ll be heading off a couple of weeks to England and Wales later this week to meet with some radio there. Looking forward to get time behind the wheel and sing, sing, sing :-)

It means that we’ll be in the UK this Thanksgiving, but fortunately there's always a time and space for gratitude and we're definitely feeling a lot of it at the moment. If you want to get a little deeper into what gratitude really is and why to practice it, have a read what the world's leading scientific expert on gratitude, Robert Emmons, Ph.D., is saying about it here, and perhaps join this cool gratitude challenge, and see what happens! Let us know if you feel this is in any way changing things in and around you :)

However, I'm sure we'll get a little turkey sorted out somewhere, probably at David's twin sister's house in Bristol. And speaking of food, I put together a gorgeous chocolate mousse last night. AND it’s healthy, so if you have a sweet tooth and like to eat stuff that’s good for you, have a go and mix it all up! You’d have to be adventurous though, as no measurements were being taken this time. But with these ingredients, you can’t go wrong (for two):
Cashew nuts (a couple of hands full)
Dates (about four, if they're hard, soak them in a bit of water for at least 30min)
Avocado (half)
Almond milk (until you like the consistency)
70 % chocolate (until you like the flavor; we melted half a bar, 50gram)
Ground vanilla (a pinch or two)
Sprinkle a few fresh raspberries on top!

Have a lovely November. Much love to all of you!

/ Ida
